The small town of Camporosso has 5,427inhabitants, eighth town of the province by population it is entirely included in the conurbation of Ventimiglia.
The most eastern town of the Ponente Ligure, it is located in the Riviera dei Fiori between Sanremo and Montecarlo overlooking the sea for a short distance. By tradition and according to history Camporosso is the first town of the Nervia valley.
With its 300 metres of beach, the smallest in Italy, Camporosso has held the blue flag for its waters since 2001 and is in the Blu di legambiente guide-book.
The presence of a Wildlife sanctuary at the delta of the Nervia and of European Union interest creates a peaceful atmosphere which, together with the free supervised beach, particularly commended by the local administration, offers bathers an ideal holiday resort.
The Parish church of Saint Mark the Evangelist was built in XV century and expanded in the eighteenth century.The XIC century belfry has been recently restored. Inside there is a wooden statue of the XVI century symbolizing Saint Mark.
Saint Peter's church , dating back to XI century and next to the cemetary, is a building in romanesque style with only one aisle with semi-circular apsis: the building was later expanded adding a new side aisle.
The Oratory of Neri (or Intersession). The building is situated at the end of Piazza Garibaldi, the main square of the historic centre of Camporosso, it is preceded by an ample flight of steps with double curved bannisters. On the facade there is the clock from the nearby St Mark's parish church which has been there since 1787.

The sanctuary of Nervi is a wildlife area of the province of Imperia comprising the riviera districts of both Ventimiglia and Camporosso.
Part of the Nervia stream plain it has an overall surface of 60,000 sqmts.
About 160 botanic species have been catalogued Inside the sanctuary, moreover there are vast areas of rushes which are very useful for nesting and self-purification of the wildlife area.
A census has been made of the birds and they have been catalogued into 140 different species..
The Nervia is a stream of eastern Liguria, it's 28,3 kms long and springs from the slopes of MountPietravecchia un torrente del ponente Ligure, lungo 28,3 km, che nasce dalle pendici del Monte Pietravecchia; it starts flowing near the village of Bruggio and it gets its name Valun de Tane (little stream of Tane). The last stretch of the stream ,near the delta marks the confines between the most western zone of the town of Ventimiglia (called Nervia) and the hamlet of Camporosso Mare.
Its basin extends for 195 km² and its capacity, being a streamlike course of water , is subject to changeable seasonal weather.
