Framura Territory:

Situated inside a typical cove of the eastern Ligurian coast , is the little town of Framura. It is made up of five districts totalling 19,26sqkms, Setta is the seat of the municipality.

Mount Serro(421m.a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the territory of Framura and is part of the protected area called Le Cinque Terre. Many typical plants can be found there, like; wild fennel, lavander, and bay leaf.

Cultural Framura:

The 16th century watch tower, dating back to Genovese dominion in the districts of Anzo and Setta.

The 9th century watch tower in the district of Costa.

The Chapel of San Rocco in Setta, decorated with late 18th century stucco finishings , it is neoclassical in style and preserves the painting of the Madonna col Bambino and the Saints Rocco and Nicola, works which date back to between the 12th and 18th centuries.

Sports and Excursions in Framura:

Framura is linked to its neighbouring town Bonassola thanks to a cycling path ,which up to 1970 ,ran along the old Genova-Pisa railway line , it was then moved uphill and it terminates in the village of Levanto, its 5kms long.

Events in Framura:

• "Marcia delle tre torri"(March of the three towers), in June.
• "Voci di mare e di stelle"(The voices of the sea and the stars), a musical event , in July.
• Feast day of the Madonna della Neve, the first Sunday of August in the village of Porticcolola Procession, religious function to commemorate those who died at sea and a firework display all organized by the Town hall and The Parish.
• Feast day of San Rocco , 16 August.
• Feast day of Santa Lucia, the last Sunday of August
• Feast day of patron Saint Lorenzo 10 August in the village of Castagnola.
• The tourist feast day, the last Saturday of August, a food and wine itinerary through the villages of Costa, Setta, Ravecca, Anzo e Casella.
