In the past, Sesta Godano and its surrounding villages changed from one domain to another. Traces of these different dominions are still visible in its architecture. A medieval triple arched bridge can be found in Sesta Godano. The parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, rebuilt in the 18th century on the ruins of the parish church of Robbiano, is also of interest. The village of Groppo is a characteristic fortress village, with houses forming the boundary walls. Anthropomorphic figureheads can be seen on the walls of some of the houses in the historical centre of Sesta Godano, These figureheads ( teste apotropaiche) were supposed to chase away bad luck.
