On the belt of the lower altitude there are olive plantations, the chestnut trees are higher up and about 1000m high there are fields stretching out used for pasture for bovines.

The district territory is made up of seven hamlets including Candeasco, Conio, Maro castello, San Bernardo di Conio, San Lazzaro Reale, Ville San Pietro and Ville San Sebastiano for a total of 23,44sqkm. Cultural Borgomaro:

The religious buildings are many and of ancient origin like the 15th century parish church of Saint Antonio Abate, we can also find the chapel of the Madonna del Ponte, the chapel of Saint Giacomo, that of Saint Giuseppe in the chief town, alluded to for the first time in 1756 and many more oratories, arches , columns and pillars in black stone. The tall rural bell-tower is built in visible square stone-work.

Also in the hamlets there are different kinds of religious buildings of ancient origin such as the oratory of the Santissima Trinità (The Holy Trinity) which you can see as you enter Poggialto(a hamlet of Aurigo), it is preceded by an archway. In ancient times it was the seat of two confraternities of the village, which were The Visitation and the Santissima Trinità, the little church of San Rocco in the hamlet of Conio and the church of the Assumption in the hamlet of Maro Castellopiazza which has an austere neoclassic facade dominated by a gable, it also has a bulb or globe bell-tower.
