Territory of Sori:

Overlooking the Paradiso Sori Gulf ,this territory, east of Genova, extends into the hinterland along the valley of the stream of the same name. It is a mountainous area with the foothills reaching almost 400mts . Mount Becco (894mts) is mostly terraced land which is typical Genovese.

Sori includes eight hamlets measuring a total of 13.07kms, the Ligurian sea is to the south where the beaches are of sand and gravel.

The vegetation is predominantly mediteranean scrub with vast areas of olive groves as well as chestnut groves, beech woods and oaks. The coast is mostly rocky with cliffs as high as 30 metres. Sori itself is a popular seaside resort.

The Sori Jazz Festival - "Da Sori al Golfo Paradiso" at weekends in July. An event dedicated to Italian Jazz.

• Sori Solidale the first weekend of September. A charity event for the "Gigi Ghirotti" society for home assistance to terminal cancer patients.
• Musica e Mare (Music and the Sea) July, August and September; classical music concerts organized by the Oratory of Sant'Erasmo.
• The Feastday of Nostra Signora delle Grazie in Sori. This event takes place from the 12 to 15 August with a religious celebration, food and drink events, dancing and a firework display.
• The Feastday of San Gottardo the Sunday after May 5
• Feastday of San Rocco , 16 August, in the chapel of the same name with a religious function and food and drink stands .
• Feastday of Sant'Eusebio in Canepa, the first weekend of August, religious function and food and drink stands.

• Feastday of Nostra Signora Addolorata in Teriasca, the third weekend of September with religious procession, food stands, and firework display.

• Feastday of Nostra Signora di Lourdes in Lago, the first weekend of July; religious procession ,food and drink stands and the Palio degli Ochi (a farm gander race)
• Feastday of Nostra Signora del Soccorso in Capreno, the last weekend of July with a religious procession and food and drink stands.
• The "Sagra delle trofie", a food festival dedicated to this traditional genovese dish, with food and drink stands and dancing, the first weekend of summer.
